In particular, in October 2024, China's steel (including steel pipe) exports reached 11.182 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 40.8%, an increase of 14.9 percentage points from the previous month. Cumulatively, from January to October 2024, China's total steel exports reached 91.893 million tons, an increase of 23.3% over the same period last year. Recently, China's steel pipe export market has shown a significant price advantage, and this change has won more competitiveness for domestic enterprises in the international market. Data as of November 5, 2024 show that China's export quotation (FOB) for hot-rolled coils has dropped to US$497/ton, which is significantly lower than the quotations of major competitor countries such as India, Turkey, and the CIS. This price advantage not only reflects the effective control of China's steel pipe manufacturing costs and the improvement of production efficiency, but also provides strong support for China's steel pipe exports in the future.

In 2024, China's welded pipe export market performed well. Despite the complex international trade environment and fierce market competition, Chinese welded pipe companies still achieved a significant increase in export volume through flexible business strategies. However, it is worth noting that although the export volume has increased significantly, the export amount has dropped significantly.
